The animals appear in a list that is updated every 15 minutes, giving you the opportunity to play with different horses whenever you like. Once you have chosen your companion you can give it a name and start taking care of it, feeding it, walking with it, teaching it tricks or trying out new cleaning products.

Although Alicia Online is a regular MMORPG where you can interact with players from all over the world, it has a main game mechanic that the title is based around. In order to advance in the game and complete missions, you need to compete in horse races against other users along different routes that you can find on the map. Once the race starts, you will have to overtake all the other players to finish first, avoiding all the obstacles that appear along the way. When you win a race you will get experience points to share between your horse and your character to improve your skills.
